Resurrection Sunday
“That you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.”
Ephesians 1:18-21
Happy Resurrection Sunday!
He who heeds the word wisely will find good, and whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he. Proverbs 16:20
Happy are the people who are in such a state; Happy are the people whose God is the Lord. Psalm 144:15
Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised; 14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. 15 Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; 17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied. 20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. 1 Corinthians 15 12-20
What is your hope this Easter Sunday? That tomb, which is still empty should give you hope. God is concerned about your life and destiny. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. The apostle Paul believed that Jesus did rise from the dead, that means that our resurrection is assured! That’s what first fruits from the dead means, the first fruits were the first things picked during the harvest, this showed there was a harvest!
Our hope should forever be focused on our loving Father. He alone is our assurance in an unsure world. He alone is our peace in a world of turmoil, strife and disbelief.
This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him. Lamentations 3:21-25
Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday and make it a great week!
